What is a governance evaluation? +
Each time an AI action passes through the CLEARANCE ROE gate — checked against your mandate scope, proportionality rules, constitutional floor, and human oversight pathway — that counts as one evaluation. A single user interaction may trigger one or many evaluations.
What is a WARRANT certificate? +
A WARRANT is CLEARANCE's governance attestation certificate — a cryptographically identified PDF that confirms your AI deployment has been assessed against the dual framework (JSP 936 + EU AI Act Articles 9, 13, 14, 15) and passed all ROE gates during the assessment period. It is board-ready and regulator-facing.
Where does CLEARANCE run? +
CLEARANCE runs exclusively on UK sovereign infrastructure — Hetzner Helsinki. Your governance data never touches US jurisdiction. No CLOUD Act exposure. No FISA risk. The evaluation LLM (ORACLE) routes through sovereign model infrastructure first, with Anthropic claude-sonnet-4-6 as the fallback for complex reasoning tasks only.
Do I need to change my existing AI tools? +
No. CLEARANCE operates as a governance layer in front of your existing AI stack. It does not replace your models — it governs how they are used, logs every action, and issues attestations. Integration is via API or the CLEARANCE SDK (coming Q3 2026).
What is JSP 936? +
JSP 936 is the UK Ministry of Defence AI Policy (November 2024). It sets out mandatory principles for responsible AI use in defence and national security contexts. CLEARANCE maps your AI deployment against JSP 936's eight principles and produces a structured alignment report suitable for submission to your governance board.

Is billing in GBP? +
Yes. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP). VAT is applied at the standard UK rate (20%) for UK-registered organisations. Invoices are issued monthly or annually depending on your billing cycle.
